The procession of the dark-skinned Christ from Cusco Cathedral through the streets of the Historic Centre. The image — darkened by centuries of candle smoke — is the patron of Cusco and is carried on a litter through the main streets with thousands of faithful. One of the most important religious processions in the Andes.
